Things to do in Blenheim and marlborough

Located at the top of the South Island, Marlborough enjoys high sunshine hours and a temperate climate so that visitors can experience all of Marlborough’s diversity through the seasons. No matter what time of year, there is always something going on in Marlborough and lots of things to do in Blenheim. Marlborough is an area rich in history and culture, and is home to many artists and artisan craftspeople that draw their inspiration from the region’s diverse landscapes. You can get to know Marlborough with a visit to one of its many historical landmarks, or there is the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre with World War One aircraft scenes brought to life by Weta Workshops. There are over 40 vineyards in the Marlborough region and most within just a 10km radius of Blenheim. Not only will you find stunning wines but also a wide variety of oils, crafts, cafés and restaurants. Drive yourself, take a tour and let someone else do the driving, or hire a bike and explore the quiet back roads.

Marlborough has a host of activities to keep you busy during your time here.
