The Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre presents a captivating display of planes and memorabilia from World War 1 in their Knights of the Sky exhibition. It features Sir Peter Jackson’s own collection of WW1 aircraft and artefacts, bringing the dramatic story of the Great War to life in remarkable sets created by WingNut Films and Weta Workshop, New Zealand's Oscar-winning special effects teams.

Highlights of the displays include the world's only Caproni Ca22, an Etrich Taube, and a Morane-Saulinier Type BB. There's also an on-site cafe and souvenir shop.

For those who want to get closer to the action, the Trust that operates the museum also run a vintage joy flights operation at Omaka Airfield. Their Boeing Stearman has three seats so that couples can travel together in the front cockpit. There are a range of different flights available for a spectacular bird’s eye view of the region.

When first arriving in Blenheim, there’s no better introduction to the Marlborough region than the Marlborough Museum to gain some perspective. Learn the ins and outs of New Zealand’s largest wine-making region, the fascinating story and Maori artefacts from New Zealand’s earliest settlement, and about the lives of the region’s pioneers.

Located among vineyards you’ll enjoy the scenery and course challenge when you play at Marlborough Golf Course, Fairhall, Blenheim - the region’s premier course.

Founded in 1900, it’s one of New Zealand’s oldest courses. The par is 72 over 6052 metres off the blue tees. With only 400 members, the course is never crowded. It’s a friendly club where visitors are always welcome. Usually you can tee off without booking a tee time but, to be sure, you can book online. It’s easy walking with a variety of trees and terrain, water hazards, out of bounds in the vines, making it a good test of golf. The course is extremely well maintained by our greenkeeping staff assisted by club volunteers. Having an extensive course watering system and being one of the sunniest places in the country also helps. The clubhouse offers fine wines from the club’s sponsors, so the 19th is well worth a visit after your game. The club is less than 10 minutes’ drive from Blenheim town centre and near many of the area’s top cellar doors. A round of golf with us is a must during your visit to Blenheim.

E-Ko Tours was founded with a vision of developing a business that would be a force in local conservation and education. Our staff are volunteers for Guardians of the Sounds, are trained by Project Jonah as marine mammal medics and we utilize our resources to assist the Department of Conservation (DOC) with their kiwi breeding program – Project Nest Egg.

Since opening for business we have won the Tourism Industry Award for Innovation in Eco-Tourism and last year we were inducted into Trip Advisor’s Hall of Fame.
